While Terrain's work is contemporary in essence, it is also contextual in nature. Often we find definition in the traditional structures of the Island. A client's needs and environment are the starting points and cornerstone of our practice. Some projects are traditional, others whimsical and thought provoking. But all listen to both client and surroundings. Will the home double as a workspace? How does the family congregate together? How might a view, adjoining property and greater neighborhood find a rhythm with a new or modified dwelling? This sense of discovery between architect and client begins Terrain's relationship.
